All About Me!
Hi, my name is Scarlett Stebbins and I am a sophmore at the Beaverton Academy of
Science and Engineering (BASE). I enjoy science and math as well as playing soccer
outside of school and reading every book I can get my hands on. I enjoy spending
time with family and friends in every way imaginable and I enjoy musicals and theater
as well.
Some things I like to do:
- See/listen to musicals
- Watch movies/shows with Family
- Spend Time with Friends
- Play with my doggo
- Make cookies
Jobs
One thing I like to do outside of school hours is to referee youth recreational soccer games. This is a seasonal job as
the refeeres get paid per game for howerver many games they do. I typicly do this during this on the weekends
and for 3-4 hours which is the length of 3-4 of their games. I enjoy doing this because I get to help young kids learn
how to enjoy and how to play soccer game.It is also a fun way for me to be involved in my sport when in the off season.
This program is sponsered by the US mens and womens national soccer teams and they teach kids as young as 13 how to referee a game of soccer.
They teach the rules of the game and how to respond in potentaly unsafe enviornments to ensure a fair and safe playing field for players of all ages.
To become a referee you must:
- Complete an online course about the laws and rules of the game
- Complete an online course about mediacl conditions and how to ensure a safe playing enviornment
- Pass a online quiz to confirm you knowlage and understanding of the game and medical procedures
- Complete an in person class in where you practiice making real life calls
2024 season badge required for all referees
My Family
My family at home includes myself, my mom, dad, younger brother and our dog. My brother is 15 and plays basketball he is the best brother one could have my
parents work full time, my mom works in HR and my dad is an acountant. Our dog is named Fynn he is a golden retriver and he is my favriote being in the world,
he is soft, caring, and playful. We like to travel and our last family trip was to Alaska in 2022 and last fall my mom and I went to see the musica
Hadestown on broadway.
